Tanaka is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that exists to love and serve vulnerable children and young adults. Our model is to come alongside local Christians who are caring for vulnerable and at-risk individuals and offer our assistance. We help provide necessities, such as shelter, food, clean water, medical care, education and skills training, counseling and discipleship in a loving environment.
Home to 21 vulnerable children, Home of Hope is located in Zimbabwe. This home sits on 200 acres and also has a health clinic, church and farm on the compound. Tanaka covers the children's basic needs, which includes food, clean water, shelter, medical needs as they arise and incredible house parents who love and nurture the children.
We are excited to partner with JENGA Community Development Outreach (jengauganda.org), a registered NGO and charity in the UK and the USA, in supporting Suubi House.
The vision of Suubi House is to bring long-term freedom and restoration to boys living on the streets, broken by drug and alcohol abuse. This is accomplished by building values, skills and character through living, working and worshipping together in a caring Christian community. Our home for the street children is free of charge and seeks to transform these young people physically, emotionally and spiritually to become contributing members of society.
Path of Hope is based in Uganda and seeks to love and serve the most vulnerable women in our area. This project’s vision is to give opportunities and long-term freedom to women who have been affected by teenage pregnancy, gender-based violence and/or sexual abuse.
Path of Hope is our sister projec to Suubi House and is in the planning and fundraising stages. We hope to open our doors to teenage mothers and victims of sexual abuse in 2023.
Your support and contributions will enable us to meet our goals and improve conditions. Your generous donation will fund our mission.
